100% Tempranillo from Cigales DO in the Castilla y León region of Spain. Made from very old estate vine Tempranillo and undergoes a 3 week fermentation, 14 months aging in French & American oak barrels, no fining or filtration, bottled (2 years post harvest) and aged many years before release. There are notes of wild flowers, lavender, warm spice, cedar, balsamic, eucalyptus and sweet tannins on a long finish. A complex and intense organic wine, with a very affordable price tag. This is a classy wine that would perfectly suit steak dinners or roasted meats. (2015 vintage produced 8,500 bottles)
