Gilles Bonnefoy | 2022 Gamay’s Mi Noir Mi Bouze | $37 x 12 bottles
Grown in soils on and around the volcano of the ‘Madone,’ in the region of Urfé IGP, Loire Valley, France, and comprised of 50% Gamay Noir 50% Gamay de Bouze. The palate is more reminiscent of the southern Rhône viticulture influence in that region, with its deep red/black hue, velvety mouthfeel and juicy black raspberry, plum and volcanic rocks. The nose smells like the juicy Gamays of Beaujolais but with distinctive volcanic smoky notes. It's incredibly balanced & finishes fresh following a round and lush body. (See below for spec sheet)
